Spam Bully QuickStart Cheat Sheet

Main Interface Buttons:

Spam - designates a message as spam that the filter has failed to stop (user is automatically added to the spammers list and message is learned by filter and moved to the spam folder).

Shortcut Keys:

• CTRL-[Spam Button] - Learns message as spam but doesn't move the message to the spam folder.

• SHIFT -[Spam Button] - Learns message as spam and adds entire domain to spammers list.

• CTRL- SHIFT -[Spam Button] - Learns message as spam but doesn't move the message to the spam folder and adds entire domain to spammers list.

Not Spam - designates a message as not spam that the filter has failed to stop (user is automatically added to the friends list and message is learned by filter and moved to the inbox folder).

Shortcut Keys:

• CTRL-[Not Spam Button] - Learns message as good email but doesn't move the message to the inbox folder.

• SHIFT -[Not Spam Button] - Learns message as good email and adds entire domain to friends list.

• CTRL- SHIFT -[Not Spam Button] - Learns message as good email but doesn't move the message to the inbox folder and adds entire domain to friends list.

Process Folder - This will run the Spam Bully filters over the currently selected folders. (This is also necessary when checking IMAP or Hotmail accounts as spam bully's filters can not automatically process these messages. After checking these account types you must click this button for spambully to filter them properly.

Bounce - bounces the selected message or messages. Spam Bully sends a bounce message back to the spammer who will then possibly remove your email address from future mailings.

Spam Bully - this menu has several options:

Learn Folder as Spam mail - For advanced users and mainly for use with the "Untrain Filter" option. This option will learn the entire selected folder as spam. Every message is learned by spam bully's bayesian filter. This allows you to completely customize the filters to your own email habits. The larger the amount of emails you train the filter on the better it will filter the messages.

Learn Folder as Regular mail - For advanced users and mainly for use with the "Untrain Filter" option. This option will learn the entire selected folder as good emails. Every message is learned by spam bully's bayesian filter. This allows you to completely customize the filters to your own email habits. The larger the amount of emails you train the filter on the better it will filter the messages.

Untrain filter - For advanced users this will delete all data from the spam bully filter. Only use this if you are also going to use the learn folder options to train spam bully to your own emails. Once you have run this option, spam bully will not be able to filter any messages until you retrain it.

Run Wizard - This will rerun the spam bully initial learning wizard. It is only necessary to run this wizard one time. So if you ran it initially when you installed the program shouldn't need to run it again.

Statistics - this option allows you to see statistics and graphs on the number of messages you have received as spam and regular email. You can view stats by day week month or year.

Register - this option allows you to enter your registration information.

Spam Bully on the web - This option takes you to the spam bully website.

Help Forum - This option takes you to Spam Bully's online help forum.

Contact Us - This option takes you to Spam Bully's contact form.

Spam Bully Help - Shows you the help file.
