SpamBully 2.0, an email spam filter that easily integrates into Outlook and Outlook Express. SpamBully 2.0 is simple enough for a beginning computer user, yet offers many sophisticated features to satisfy even the most experienced user. The brains of SpamBully remain its intelligent self-learning Bayesian filter, a feature which earned it a Best Buy in the October 2003 issue of Wired Magazine. Bayesian filtering is based on probability theories of 18th century monk and mathematician Thomas Bayes. It rapidly learns from each user’s email habits, identifying what they personally consider spam to intuitively filter their email.
SpamBully 2.0 introduces several new cutting-edge spam fighting techniques. Spam emails may be blocked based on the language of the email or the country of origin. A link analyzer looks for spam by following links in an email and analyzing the web pages. Realtime Blackhole List integration continually checks for domains that are responsible for sending spam and automatically filters them from the Inbox. Users can choose words and phrases they wish to allow or block from their Inbox. SpamBully may also be customized to a user’s native language. Available languages include: English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Russian, and Chinese.
SpamBully 2.0 continues to offer popular 1.0 features including: Bouncing emails back to spammers making them think a user's email address is no longer valid, a Friends/Spammers list ensures important emails from friends and family get through and unwanted sales pitches are blocked, attachment blocking limits exposure to email viruses in the Outlook version, and comprehensive graphing and statistics monitor SpamBully's effectiveness.
Almost every feature is fully customizable.
SpamBully 2.0 is for use with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003 running Outlook 2000/2002/XP/2003 or Outlook Express 5, 5.5 or 6 email programs. It is free to try for 14 days. Single user licenses are $29.95. Multi-user licenses are available at volume discounts.
