Train Filter – Allows the Bayesian filter to be taught what you consider spam and what you consider good email.  Bayesian filters work by looking at the words that are used in spam emails and good email and then classifying the email based on the words that these emails contain.  There are certain words that tend to comprise spam emails and also certain words that tend to comprise your good emails.  By analyzing these patterns, Spam Bully can route spam messages to the Spam folder.

a.)    Learn folder as spam – Learns every message of the selected folder as spam email.  In the future, email similar to mail from this folder will be caught as spam and moved to your Spam folder.

b.)    Learn folder and subfolders as spam – Learns every message of the selected folder and all of the folders within this folder as spam email.  In the future, email similar to mail from these folders will be caught as spam and moved to your Spam folder.

c.)    Learn folder as good email – Learns every message of the selected folder as good email.  In the future, email similar to mail from this folder will be considered good and left in your Inbox.

d.)    Learn folder and subfolders as good email – Learns every message of the selected folder and all of the folders within this folder as good email.  In the future, email similar to mail from these folders will be considered good and left in your Inbox.

e.)    Run Setup Wizard – Allows you to run the Wizard that runs when Spam Bully is started for the very first time.  It will learn some of your preferences based on your email and mail account settings.  This process usually only needs to be run once.  It is run automatically the first time Spam Bully is installed.  Please see more about the Setup Wizard in the "Install and Setup" help category.

f.)      Untrain filter – Removes all information from the Bayesian filter.  This should be used in conjunction with the learn folder options to retrain Spam Bully’s filter so the Bayesian filter can filter email again.  This is used to completely customize Spam Bully to your own email.

g.)    Restore default filter – Restores the Bayesian filter that originally installed with Spam Bully.  Generally, it is unnecessary to restore the default filter unless there was a problem training the filter or Spam Bully begins to perform poorly.  When using this option, it is usually a good idea to also run the wizard again so that Spam Bully can learn some things about your email habits and increase its filter accuracy.

h.)    Untrain web filter – Removes all information from the web link Bayesian filter (This filter is separate from the Bayesian filter that analyzes the actual email messages).  When the web page analyze option is enabled, Spam Bully follows the links in email messages to the actual web page and analyzes these pages in the same way it analyzes your email for spam content.  This helps to stop spam messages that may only contain a link that the regular Bayesian filter might have trouble determining whether the message was spam or not.

i.)      Restore default web filter – Restores the web link Bayesian filter that originally installed with Spam Bully.  Generally, it is unnecessary to restore the default web filter unless there was a problem training the filter or Spam Bully begins to perform poorly.  When using this option, it is usually a good idea to also run the wizard again so that Spam Bully can learn some things about your email habits and increase its filter accuracy.
